David Holtzman

 

Chief Development Officer


David Holtzman serves as the Chief Development Officer of Dacra, and leads all company-wide development and construction activities. With over twenty years of large-scale development experience, Holtzman has built a reputation for managing large teams through complex tasks. He has coordinated the efforts of multiple architect, designer, engineering, and contractor resources, while developing critical and beneficial relationships with jurisdictional agency players.  These efforts work together to deliver a complete and unified neighborhood re-development program.

Throughout his decades-long tenure with Dacra, Holtzman has been a key member of the leadership team responsible for the creation and implementation of Dacra’s re-development and new construction projects on Lincoln Road in South Beach, Aqua in Mid-Beach, and the Miami Design District. He’s spent the last seven years implementing the visionary re-development of the Miami Design District in to the region’s premier luxury retail destination.

Prior to joining Dacra, Holtzman was the Miami-Dade County Land Manager for Lennar Land Partners, the land division of Lennar Homes Inc., where he was responsible for land development operations, delivery of complete neighborhood infrastructure systems, golf course planning and construction, and building pads for numerous communities throughout Miami and the Southwest Florida region. Prior to that role, he spent time with Lennar's homebuilding division where he was responsible for the development and construction of single-family and multi-family homes.

Holtzman has served on numerous senior architectural juries including the Walter Chatham Architects program, and the Allan Shulman Architects program at the University of Miami's School of Architecture. He is also chair of the Architectural Review Committee for the Morningside Historic District, Miami’s first and oldest historically designated neighborhood, and serves as a committee member on the Miami Parking Authorities Design District Parking Trust Fund. He also serves as a Florida Certified General Contractor, Vice President, and qualifier of Dacra's construction arm Mobius Construction, Inc.

Holtzman received his B.A. in Political Science from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
