Bringing together the most influential collectors, gallerists and designers
Inspired by the Miami Design District, Design Miami/ was established in 2005 by Dacra’s Craig Robins. The idea was to create a companion design fair for the international art fair Art Basel Miami Beach. Design Miami/ has become the largest gathering of its kind, bringing together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators, and critics from around the world in celebration of design culture and commerce.
Each show balances exclusive commercial opportunities with progressive cultural programming, creating exciting collaborations with designers and design institutions, panels and lectures with luminaries from the worlds of design, architecture, art, and fashion. The fair also features unique commissions from the world’s top emerging and established designers, and architects. Today, Design Miami/ is owned jointly by Dacra’s Craig Robins and MCH Swiss Exhibition, the producers of Art Basel. Design Miami/ shows are staged concurrently with Art Basel in Miami Beach each December and Basel, Switzerland each June. Learn more
