Alex Schapiro

Alex Schapiro works across the organization and with external stakeholders to advance acquisitions, secure financing, implement governmental initiatives, oversee development projects, and manage assets throughout the portfolio. In this role, he regularly collaborates with lenders, municipal officials and agencies, architects, design consultants, and other key partners to drive strategic initiatives and long-term value creation.

Schapiro oversees the ongoing development and operations of the Miami Design District, guiding projects that enhance and expand the neighborhood while ensuring its continued success as a world-class destination for retail, dining, culture, and innovation. He was a member of the leadership team responsible for the development of the Miami Design District’s retail component and has played a key role in closing significant project, land, and commercial real estate financing transactions.

Schapiro began his career with the Miami Design District project in 2011 as an analyst, where he focused on acquisitions that helped assemble and shape the district’s development. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University.
